Unique Ideas to Personalize Your Wedding
Here, at Ava Laurenne Bride, we have had privilege to help brides, not only from Virginia, but from across the country and from different parts of the world, find the wedding dress of their dreams!
It is such a sweet life moment!!
Our Stylist love hearing all the different love stories and the unique ways our Brides plan to personalize their Big Day
Below are some unique ways to add a sweet personal touch your Wedding Day!!
Our Stylist, Patty, shared that one of her Brides surprised all her guests, when she asked her grandparents to fill the role of flower girl and ring bearer! That is such a special way to include grandparents in your wedding and have it be such a wonderful memory not only for you but your entire family!! Plus, I’m sure everyone will get a kick out of watching granny sprinkle flower petals down the aisle!
One of our Brides met her fiancé at a comic book store, where she actually worked! The two of them were HUGE comic book fans and had decided to make ALL of their flowers out of comic books!! So clever and it saved them a ton of money!
Not a comic book fan?? You can use pages from your favorite books or if you love BLING and want to go all out you can go for a Brooch Bouquet!! Bonus point if you collect brooches from family members or wedding guests!!
Every mother thinks how awesome it would be if their daughter actually loved their mother's gown enough to make it their own! So many times though, brides love to find their own dream dress, one that is the true expression of who they are! Well, there was a bride that surprised her father! Right before the father/daughter dance, she slipped out to put on her mother’s wedding gown. There she stood, looking much like her mother so many years ago! Not only did Dad start to cry, but everyone looking on couldn’t help but to get choked up as well.
Surprise your Mom and Dad (and guests) by wearing your mother’s (or even grandmother’s) dress, even if just for a moment!!
PIE ANYONE?
More and more, couples are choosing non-traditional wedding cake to be served at their reception. Brides feel more free to think outside the box! An Ava Laurenne Bride, whose wedding was on March 14. (3.14 Pie Day), Of course, chose a Pie Buffet instead of a traditional wedding cake! It was Perfect for both of them since neither bride or groom cared for cake.
DESSERT BAR
One more fun idea involving food, because we all LOVE food, is one from Patty’s son and daughter in law’s wedding. Their dessert bar gave options of not only the wedding cake, which we were able to keep small, but a choice of “family favorites”! The groom’s favorite dessert of all time, a chocolate trifle, mom’s carrot cake, grandma’s gluten free cookies, even the bride’s favorite ice cream cake were among the options they had! The hardest part was picking what you’d like on your plate!

It’s your special, once in a lifetime, day!! The sky's the limit! It doesn’t even need to be anything that costs money necessarily, it’s the fact that you do what you want. So be creative, think outside the box! Make it YOUR special day!
