Brianne and Nathan: A Match Made Online

We just love Brianne and Nathan! They are an infectious couple and the way he looks at her is the sweetest thing to witness. They met online and could not be a more perfect pair, they complement each other’s personalities like no other. We couldn’t wait for their wedding day! And now we can’t wait for the day they get to welcome their first baby in May 2020!

We asked Brianne what her favorite memory from their wedding day “It's funny because I think the most memorable moment of our wedding day was after the reception was over. Nathan and I stayed in the Tobacco Barn at Stevenson Ridge that night after reception. We just spent time together: talking and eating the food that SR packed up and provided from the reception. The whole day was a beautiful whirlwind, but that night it was just the two of us.”

They talked about it together and Nathan said that “Seeing my beautiful wife leaving the building and walking down the lawn to the alter. The weather was perfect, friends and family were there, and I saw my wife's amazing smile as her dad walked her down the aisle.” was his favorite memory. (anyone else need tissues?)

They also wanted to give couples advice for their wedding day:

“So many people told me to expect that something will go wrong on our wedding day, but that it didn't/ wouldn't matter. They told me to not sweat the small stuff. I was so determined that nothing was going to go wrong. Everything was going to be perfect. I was wrong, and everything was okay. Things did go wrong on our wedding day. They were small things, that in the grand scheme of the day did not matter. The important thing was, and still is, Nathan and I love each other. The things that went wrong could not take away from the fact that we had a beautiful day and we ended up husband and wife.” –Brianne

“Take every moment to relax and enjoy yourself. Everything is busy and moves quickly and it can be easy to lose sight of the real reason you are there. Your wedding day begins a life of happiness and enjoyment together.” –Nathan

What Brianne had to say about her dress shopping experience at ALB:

“Going to Ava Laurenne Bride to get my wedding dress was the best decision I could have made. They absolutely deserve every single one of their 5 stars, if I could give them more I would!
I was really more anxious than excited about going wedding dress shopping. I had real, panic inducing fears that I would not be able to find the one, or that I would love everything on the hanger and hate it when I put it on me. Brittany, my consultant, was AMAZING! She was very bubbly and inviting when we first walked in. She put my anxieties at ease and made me feel very comfortable during the entire process. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of dresses that I was able to try on, not wearing a traditional sample size. Brittany took the time to listen to what I wanted. She told us we could look through the gowns and she would pull anything I wanted to try on. Looking through the dresses, there were so many beautiful gowns that I felt like we were pulling every other dress. In reality we probably pulled about 15 dresses which Brittany tirelessly helped me in and out of. She was so attentive and really paid attention to my reaction to each dress and how it made me feel. As a result, she helped me eliminate a few of the dresses based on the style and how I reacted to other dresses of similar style.
About half way through the gowns that we picked out, Brittany pointed out a dress that was hanging in the back by the dressing rooms. She asked what I thought about it, and if I would like to try it on. There was no denying that Brittany had just found MY dress. There are no words to describe how I felt when I saw it on. The closest thing I can come to is MAGICAL. It was not what I expected to find, but when I saw it I knew! After finding this amazing, unicorn of a gown Brittany helped me put on the 1st of 4 “favorites” gowns that we had set aside for the very end. She patiently waited while I reevaluated each one of these four dresses. The final two dresses Brittany accessorized for me so that I could get a better visual; she added a belt and veil. But, in the end my unicorn dress was absolutely the ONE! I even started crying, and I did not think I would cry. This is the best experience any bride could want. We were probably there for about 2 hours, and I never once felt rushed or ignored. Brittany listened to what we wanted, from budget to style, and managed our expectations flawlessly. As it turns out, the price of the gown was under our budget, including the belt that Brittany had accessorized the dress with!
